| 1985 Hans Dieter Lenzen founded the company with 7 employees only, he started manufacturing at the galvanizing line 1. |
| 1987 The slitting line 1 was set up with an annual tonnage of 7000 t. |
| 2001 The galvanizing line II was put into operation and provided the essential basis for the total output of more than 40,000 t. |
| 2007 The export percentage increased to 31,5%, and 57 employees produced over 40,000 t per year. |
| 2011 The electro galvanized precision steel strips were given the brand name HDL-Band and also a new brand logo.. |
| 2013 H. D. Lenzen is awarded Supplier of the Year 2012 by ElringKlinger AG. Having purchased the galvanizing plant from Fried. Gustav Theis Kaltwalzwerke GmbH, the H. D. Lenzen Company had obtained its 2nd production site and also additional capacities. |
| 2014 H. D. Lenzen is awarded Supplier of the Year 2013 by ElringKlinger AG.. |
| 2015 H. D. Lenzen is awarded Supplier of the Year by Saint-Gobain.. |
| 2017 Majority stake in Galvano Geellschaft Brückmann in Halver. |
